Sept 4, Beaver Crk Rec Area

Crystaline day today-started off cold, 40 deg, warmed up nicely prob 65 in camp now w/showers-nice. Good ride-95 mi- sun, clr sky, occasional tailwind. Mo R. valley/floodplain beautiful farmland. Lots of hay, corn, wheat, sunflowers. Passed one sunflower field was over a mile long and I couldn’t see the other side – mile square? Passed a hay field and for abt a half mile each fence post had a boot upside down on it-different for sure. Should cross into South Dakota tomorrow. Pics are of a couple friends, sunflower field and long view of this Rec Area.

Jim, your friends seem pretty calm under that beautiful blue sky. You sound pretty calm too. We all wish you a lot more “calmness” down the road too. Take care!
