Sept. 2, Lake Audobon Cmpgrnd, Big Jump Day

Rode 44 mi from Culbertson to Williston, ND. Bill rented a car and we drove past the amazing oil boom sprawl. Bill dropped me near this campground, he’s heading back north to Minot where he’ll pick up and mail gear at the UPS Store. Then he’s back to Williston for the weekend before proceeding west with his holiday by train. I continue south tomorrow morn peddling after Lewis n Clark. Riding into/thru this oil boom not fun..trucks trucks trucks. Behind me now. Pic is leaving MT-long state…lighting was a problem, sorry bout that. Gotta set up camp, gonna be chilly tonite.

Sorry about trucks and lightening. Not good traveling companions.

  2. Beth says:

Pretty as Big Sky Country is, I bet you’re not sorry to be leaving! 🙂 Good luck in (quickly googles…) the Dakotas! 🙂

JIM, I’m jealous stop it. Trucks, trucks and more trucks sounds like Route 11. I’m jealous about the camping; wish I could be doing that right now. There’s something about biking all day then laying down in the tent and closing your eyes. Nice! Did you dream about “trucks”?

  4. Debbie Feller says:

Love that Big Sky Country! Stay Safe!

  5. Frank says:

A few leaves are sarting to turn in PA. Looking forward to some good stories. Frank
