No Rain in Rainier!!!

Flight from Dulles to Portland was bumpy but on time.  Bike came out of the box this morning in good shape.  Took about two hours to get it back together, and I’m ready to start riding tomorrow.  Today Sandy and I drove to Cape Disappointment which is north of the Columbia River.  Beautiful scenery, nice hiking and two very old and neat lighthouses.  Then we crossed back to the south side of the river at Astoria and proceeded a bit further south to Seaside, Oregon.  I’ll start riding east there tomorrow and ride back here to Rainier.  Then Wednesday on to Portland…and so it goes.  The picture is Sandy and I high above the Pacific with the Cape Disappointment lighthouse in the background.  The vistas are great…Lewis and Clark were amply rewarded with views when they arrived here long ago.  Just finished a super Mexican meal at the restaurant across the street.  Looking forward to a good night’s sleep tonight.
